The Public Affairs department has an opening in Berlin starting September 1, 2026, for a Public Affairs Student Intern (m/f/d) in Berlin, working 15–20 hours per week. The position is a six-month fixed-term contract.

Are you interested in security and defense policy, aviation, and industry, as well as the dialogue between business and politics? Then join our Public Affairs team in Berlin and help us actively shape the dialogue with policymakers, associations, and other stakeholders.
 

Your tasks:

• Monitoring and analyzing developments in security, defense, and industrial policy, as well as relevant debates in the media and on social media
• Conducting research and preparing briefings, presentations, and content for social media
• Preparing for and following up on meetings with political stakeholders, as well as maintaining relevant contact information
• Assisting with the organization and execution of events and conferences
• Handling administrative and organizational tasks in day-to-day operations

Your profile:

• Currently pursuing a degree in political science, economics, law, or communication studies, or a comparable field; preferably a completed bachelor’s degree
• Good understanding of political processes and institutions; initial practical experience in a policy-related environment is a plus
• Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• A structured and independent work style, as well as a high degree of reliability
