Software Engineer for Aerial Surveying Systems (m/f/d)
The Aerial Surveying Division (CC-F) has an opening for a full-time Software Engineer for Aerial Surveying Systems (m/f/d) starting July 1, 2026.
Your tasks:
- Design, development, and testing of Java-based server and client modules for use in measurement aircraft
- Supporting the design and further development of our software solutions in the areas of real-time systems, simulation, cockpit integration, and navigation
- Integration, commissioning, and testing of our flight measurement systems in the lab and on board measurement aircraft
- Analysis of flight measurement results as part of technical customer support
- Preparation of technical system and certification documentation in accordance with quality management and EASA requirements
- Conducting user training in the training room as well as during operational flight operations
- Global on-site support and technical assistance for our customers
Contributing to the continuous improvement of our systems and processes
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, information and communication technology, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in software development, including unit testing, build tools (e.g., Gradle or CMake), and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience in software design, system integration, and testing of complex technical systems
- Very good knowledge of Java SE and/or C++
- Knowledge of Linux, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS is a plus
- Interest in aviation and avionics applications
- Knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) is a plus
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Strong communication skills, excellent teamwork abilities, and willingness to travel internationally
