Michael Bitzer has been appointed by the Supervisory Board as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) alongside Neset Tükenmez (CEO) to the Executive Board of Aerodata AG with effect from September 1, 2024. In his role, he will take over the operational management of Aerodata AG and thus continue to drive forward the development of new technologies for manned and unmanned specialised aviation.

In more than 30 years, Michael Bitzer has already held several management positions in renowned companies in the industry, including some within the Aerodata Group. The aerospace engineer already worked at Aerodata from 1993 until 2002 in sales and as Manager Strategy. Subsequently, he managed special mission flight operations with in-house maintenance in Australia for 13 years. As General Manager, he was in charge of AeroPearl, a joint venture between Aerodata and the Paspaley Pearls Group, which specialised in flight inspection services. Back in Germany, he initially took over responsibility at Lumics, a joint venture between Lufthansa Technik and McKinsey, before joining the management of Rheinland Air Service GmbH as COO in 2021.
