We are pleased to announce a new order from the Spanish maritime safety and rescue agency SASEMAR - Sociedad de Salvamento y Marítima.
Back in 2005, our subsidiary Optimare Systems GmbH was awarded a contract from EADS-CASA to provide four complete MEDUSA® mission systems in sea pollution detection subsystem configuration for SASEMAR's CN235 fleet. This project, which took about two years, resulted in the aircraft fleet becoming the most comprehensively equipped for marine pollution detection at that time, carrying Optimare’s oil spill remote sensors of type SLAR, IRUV, LFS and MWR.
With this new order, Aerodata will replace the initial Optimare mission computers with new ones, also from Optimare, ensuring a form, fit and function replacement, as well as certify the installation. Additionally, we will be updating the four ground stations at the Spanish coordination centers. Delivery is expected by 2026.
