Braunschweig – Aerodata AG, an established German provider of tailor-made solutions for the aviation industry, announces that Dr Detlef Kayser will take over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board with immediate effect. He succeeds Aerodata AG co-founder Prof. Peter Vörsmann, who held the position for six years. Prof. Peter Vörsmann will remain with the company as a member of the Supervisory Board.

I look forward to working with the Supervisory Board and the Management Board to support the further development of the company and provide important impetus for the future,’ says Dr Detlef Kayser.
Dr Detlef Kayser has many years of experience in the aviation industry and is very familiar with Aerodata AG. After studying aerospace engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, he completed his doctorate at the Institute of Flight Guidance under Aerodata‘s co-founder Prof. Dr. Schänzer on topics related to satellite navigation. He was already a member of the Supervisory Board of Aerodata AG from 2016 to 2020.
During his professional career, Dr Detlef Kayser has held positions including Director of Manufacturing Practice at McKinsey & Co. and Executive Vice President of Strategy and Fleet at Deutsche Lufthansa AG, before joining the Group Executive Board there until 2024. Since 2025, Dr Detlef Kayser has been working as an independent consultant and is a member of the Supervisory Board of MTU Aero Engines AG.
