Thomas Krüger was a guest at the Technical University of Braunschweig, where he gave a lecture as part of the ‘AI in Business: Fundamentals and Areas of Application’ bachelor’s module. During the talk, he introduced Aerodata, gave an overview on the current challenges of AI in safety-critical areas like aviation and provided insights into our areas of work and, using practical examples how we develop and deploy AI to solve challenges for our customers.
This guest lecture is part of our collaboration with TU #Braunschweig. Together with Prof. Dr Frederik Müller, who teaches the Bachelor’s module ‘AI in Business: Fundamentals and Areas of Application’ and the Master’s seminar ‘Business AI & Data Management’, we are bringing together academic teaching and business practice.
In parallel, Master’s students on the Business Informatics and Technology-Oriented Management programs worked on AI use cases in aviationas part of the ‘Business AI & Data Management’ seminar. Working in teams, they developed practical AI applications based on freely available data and demonstrated how AI and data management can help solve real-world challenges – ranging from search and rescue and maritime safety to data-driven applications for aviation and maintenance.
The students’ creative approaches and fresh perspectives have once again demonstrated just how valuable the exchange between academia and industry is. At the same time, this collaboration offers the opportunity to jointly develop forward-looking ideas.
