Working student (m/f/d) - Technology scouting and demonstrator implementation in the field of mixed and virtual reality
In the field of innovation, two positions are currently available as working students (m/f/d) - technology scouting and demonstrator implementation in the field of mixed & virtual reality on a part-time basis with 20 hours/week. The position is limited to 6 months.
The Aerodata Group is represented worldwide in the field of special aviation. In addition to flight measurement systems, we also offer tailor-made complete solutions for aircraft-based surveillance and reconnaissance with manned and unmanned systems. Our specially developed mission systems and remote sensing sensors play a decisive role in real-time situation awareness. We attach great importance to the sustainability of our systems and also offer professional maintenance, repair, and long-term services.
Applications in the fields of mixed and virtual reality are already an established part of development and simulation environments in the aerospace industry. Broadly available and cost-effective hardware and software solutions are opening up new, additional fields of application. As part of technology scouting and the development of demonstrators, possible implementations are to be investigated both in the product development process and in the future operation/human-machine interface (HMI) of Aeradata mission systems.
Your tasks:
- Technology scouting and research into the state of the art, particularly with regard to available hardware and software solutions
- Selection and procurement of suitable products, taking into account their subsequent integration into existing systems
- Investigation of possible applications both in product development and in subsequent use in Aerodata Group products
- Setting up simulation environments or demonstrators and presenting these applications
Concept designs for integration into the system architecture of Aerodata systems
Your profile:
- Degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, robotics, or a comparable subject
- High motivation to learn new topics
- Programming skills
- Experience in augmented and virtual reality applications desirable
- Communication skills, initiative, and creativity
- Good English skills
