System engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

Development and investigation of country-specific, operational concepts in the context of sovereign tasks for monitoring and securing e.g. land and sea borders
Development of system concepts for the collection, evaluation, storage and distribution of data on board unmanned systems
Collaboration on system-of-systems concepts for the development of distributed systems, especially in the area of information management, as well as the derivation of system specifications and system designs
Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Supporting the implementation of system designs in hardware and software solutions, e.g. in the development and implementation of algorithms for pattern recognition, generation of situation pictures and mission planning
Carrying out tests and validations of the developed systems
Documentation of the development processes

Your profile:

Completed engineering degree with a focus on aerospace, computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
Knowledge of systems engineering, experience in model-based systems engineering is a plus
Knowledge of data storage and management
Knowledge in the development of algorithms, especially in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning
Knowledge of UAV technologies and communication protocols (wide area, local area)
Experience in aviation as well as experience with the development and certification of safety-relevant applications is desirable
Good written and spoken English skills
Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics
Quick comprehension; team-oriented; resilient, independent, flexible, hands-on mentality
