Software Engineer (m/f/d)
The Mission Systems division has an opening for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) to start on July 1, 2026.
Your tasks:
- Contributing to the further development of software for our airborne mission systems
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of related software products, such as
training systems, command centers, and data analysis systems - Deriving software requirements from system and customer requirements
- Developing detailed software designs
- Implementing and testing new software functions (user interfaces, sensor interfaces,
algorithms, and database applications) - Supporting commissioning and system testing, as well as customer acceptance and training courses
- Technical sales support
- Supporting product management in the following areas:
- Technology transition and modernization of existing software solutions
- Transformation of the development process
Ensuring and further developing software quality
Your profile:
- Successfully completed degree in computer science or equivalent qualification
- 5–10 years of professional experience in software engineering
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Knowledge in the following areas is a plus:
- Full-stack development, especially for web applications
- Java / JavaScript / TypeScript frameworks, React, Python
- DevOps, especially CI/CD pipelines
- Container virtualization
- Authentication (e.g., with Keycloak)
- Experience in the aviation sector or with airborne systems is preferred
- Soft skills: Quick learner; team-oriented; resilient, self-motivated, flexible, hands-on approach
