Aerodata maintains a close cooperation with the Technical University of Braunschweig Carolo-Wilhelmina. There are several joint projects with institutes of aerospace engineering.
Aerodata provides lectures, offers internships for students and supervises student research projects and diploma theses.
The research airport Braunschweig is an initiative to promote the location of the technology center. The unique concentration of research institutions, industry and authorities has created a competence center for future technologies in aviation, aviation safety and the certification of safety critical applications. The establishment of further institutions and companies will drive the innovative power of the cluster in the near future.

Its extensive research and development work in aeronautics, aerospace, energy and transport is implemented into national as well as international cooperations. With more than 1000 highly skilled employees the DLR Braunschweig concentrates its activities on the business areas of aviation and transport.
The Galileo Centre for safety critical applications, certifications and services (GAUSS) is a regional initiative with the objective of certifying safety critical applications. The focus is on applications that are using the satellite navigation system Galileo and related services. A cluster of industry and research has been established, providing its expertise in the field of GNSS positioning and navigation, testing and certification. GAUSS is active in the following areas: aviation, rail and road transport.
