Visit of the Ukrainian Ambassador at Aerodata

On April 19, Aerodata AG was pleased to welcome the Ukrainian Ambassador, H.E. Oleksii Makeiev, and the Consul General of Ukraine in Hamburg, Dr. Iryna Tybinka, at the Research Airport Braunschweig. The meeting took place within the framework of an exchange between the embassy, consulate and regional companies organized by the IHK Braunschweig (Chamber of Commerce and Industry), in which Aerodata AG participated and also acted as host.

Dr. Florian Löbermann, Managing Director of IHK Braunschweig, was pleased about this special exchange appointment: "Especially in view of the difficult situation in Ukraine, it is important that existing economic relations are maintained and new ones are established."

Ambassador Makeiev emphasized that after the valuable donations of the last months, it is now time to create jobs in Ukraine. He said he would like to see German companies take advantage of opportunities to actively participate in the reconstruction that has already begun. This extends from the purchase of Ukrainian products to the reconstruction of Ukrainian cities, including intact transport routes by land, air and sea.

After a guided tour of Aerodata's aircraft hangars, including a visit to various special aircraft for flight inspection and surveillance, the meeting moved on to an exchange with the other participating companies Strube D&S GmbH, CES Consulting Engineers Salzgitter GmbH and SBS Sondermaschinen GmbH. The topics in the approximately two-hour meeting were diverse: In addition to support possibilities in air traffic control as well as airborne surveillance, classical infrastructure construction with a focus on hydraulic engineering were also on the agenda. Also discussed were challenges such as the supply of seeds against the backdrop of a lack of payment guarantees, as well as concrete development opportunities in agriculture, for example to protect against explosions.

"It is high time for concrete measures for the reconstruction of the Ukrainian infrastructure," said Neset Tükenmez, CEO of Aerodata AG. By the end of the meeting, it was clear that there are many opportunities for the companies to work together, as numerous reconstruction and investment opportunities exist.

Aerodata has maintained economic relations with Ukraine for a long time. In the past, several aircraft of the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) were equipped with Aerodata's flight inspection system AeroFIS®. One of these flight inspection aircraft of type Beechcraft King Air 350 was viewed by the visitors on site.
